2001 Honda CR-V crank but no start

Thought maybe I'd get lucky on here. Was posting another problem about my Montero angways...

Recently acquired my second Honda...2001 CRV with 239,000 miles, 2.0L, manual transmission. It was running great for about 1,500 miles and then this. My first Honda was a 1996 Civic manual tranny. It got great gas mileage! Like 42mpg on highway trips.

As for the new CrV, it jerked a little (like a lurching or almost like an automatic transmission jerking feeling) at low RPMs one day around a traffic circle or two,. It also stalled in motion during two turns but would start immediately back up with some extra throttle. The next day it wouldn't start. It wouldn't start for about a week (I tried every day oe two and charged battery) but then it started (hard crank though) one day but died after it idled for 2-3 minutes. It was sounding fine and I walk away for 5 minutes, come back and it's stalled. What the heck?

I noticed it only stalled in motion during curves or turns...coincidence? It had 2/3 tank of fuel.

It's a manual transmission. It was running like a top for 1,500 miles with 31 to 35+ mpg fuel economy.

No codes (which is weird because the motor light was on the day it jerked). Battery is good/charged. Spark production at plugs are arcing and appear correctly timed...I tested all plugs in all the wires, and ohm checked the plugs them also. All the fuses inside cab and the motor bay are good by sight and ohm tested. Main relay under/behind glove box appears good (nonbad solder locations) and it tested good also (both relays click and paths check good). No oil or coolant cross-contamination. Motor oil and coolant are full. Air cleaner and intake cleaned and clear.
I've tried the accelerator all the way to floor as well as pumping it.
I've tried spraying starter fluid into the intake and still no start. It will crank and crank until battery is dead. If I hold gas pedal 100% down it sounds like it almost wants to start (sometimes) but doesn't.

What should I check next? Again, no obd2 codes are in the computer. I was gonna check for fuel on the output side of the fuel filter next....just loosen the sealing nut a couple of turns and crank some. This seems easier than testing the pump itself and also will confirm the fuel filter is not plugged (it could be original).

The timing should be fine and there's no abnormal noises from anywhere. Thanks! Driving me crazy!
