When in 2nd gear keeps misfiring and losing power briefly. Fine in all other gears although recently on motorway could only manage 40 in 5th gear. AA said it could be due to low oil or an error message which he wiped off computer. My garage can't fix the problem but have prescribed fuel treatment with no success.

Any ideas.
