2005 eclipse mystery problem need help asap please
 

So theres alot that people are saying it is but heres what I know. The shop the car was taken to serviced it from top to bottom. Well when they got to the section of the timing belt they said the cam shaft sprocket and sensor were shot because the sprocket was being pushed out to far and hitting the sensor. The symptoms are any time the clutch is engaged it starts acting like it w7ants to die out. I wasnt there when this work was done by the shop. The guy im buying the car off of keeps pointing out the tensioner pully as the part the guy showed him at the shop. im new to eclipses so if you could add pics and or diagrams. Thank you
