2006 Outlander Headlight Problem

My Girlfriend has a 2006 Outlander and for about the past 6 months she is constantly burning out Headlights every 2 - 3 weeks. It happens with both Passenger side and Driver Side. We have had it in the shop (General Shope) and they have replaced a socket and a number of Headlamps. We have tried general replacements and Xenon bulbs but nothing seems to work. They have tried fixing the ground thinking that may be the problem but that was 2 weeks ago and another bulb has just burned out. The burnouts are not violent meaning that the filament only is broken but it is getting extremely frustrating. The garage is now saying that we should replace the bulbs with genuine Mitsubishi bulbs as they are higher voltage than normal replacement bulbs which seems strange to me and of course the Mitsubishi bulbs are about 5x the price of standard bulbs...any help or suggestion would be appreciated

check if your getting water in your headlights because the same thing happened to me I had a bunch of water get in the headlight light and short it out so it could just be the seal on the headlight....hope it helps
