2009 Montero Sport. Won't start and spark to 1&4 only
 

Hi all.
Been struggling with my second hand 2009 montero sport 3.0 l.
Died suddenly and won't start. Checked for spark and had at 1 so Thought a fuel pump issue but that works and see fuel at least through the filter.
Rechecked sparks and find only spark to cylinders 1 and 4 on the same coil pack. Be wired for 2 coil packs to go at once and checked them by swapping wires from sparking pack. Then they work.

No idea what to check now so any advice most welcome

Note. Currently stuck in the mountains with limited tools (no multimeters or similar)
