2013 Outlander GX4 Clutch Issue?
 

I have a 2013 Outlander GX4 2.2DiD 6sp manual with 28,000 miles on the clock.


Recently I have noticed (on the odd occasion) under hard acceleration the revs have jumped momentarily before dropping back to normal. So far only seen this a handful of times and in 4th gear.


I tried to replicate this this morning going up a slight incline at around 40mph the revs pulsed up and down by 800rpm until throttling back. There was no noticeable change in drive though when back at normal revs.


May not be related but also noticed that when idling, the revs increase slightly when the clutch pedal is depressed.


Is this the clutch needing replacement, seems a bit poor for a clutch to only last 28,000 miles?


Would appreciate any thoughts.
