420a project

I aquired my buddies project car. wondering what i can do with a 99 eclipse gs that has 420a in it. is the 420a a fixer upper or should i go a head and look into swapping it. If i pulled a swap what would be a better engine?
also considering putting a turbo on the 420a is it really worth my time. Thanks All

What is wrong w/ the engine? If you have time and money you can swap the evo 8 engine. Someone did a write up abt it on dsmtalk.com

i say just use it for what it is (a DD good gas mileage car) and dont even try doing swaps since they will be more trouble than they are worth. You can TC a 420a however the gain from it is not much onastock block. I say just keep it as a nice car until you can get something that is more worth the time and money

i agree, you'll hear this a million times on here, but by the time you spent any money to make ur 420a fast you could have bought a gst or gsx with some mods already done to it... literally, if you turbocharge ur gs, the gain you'll get from it will be right around the power of a stock gst or gsx

hahaha, if you by anychance end up sticking with it and still wanna mess up with it, give a shout to the guys at 2gnt.com they know the 420a pretty well... but if you really dont need speed... its a good reliable ride
