92 2.0L Dead No recessetation Please advise
I have a 92 2.0L nt.
It had had a spuratic idle, however has ran perfectly for quite some time. on my way home after my 30 mile trek. It died. I came to an intersection and it idled down after pushing in the clutch. And then died, did not diesel or sputter. Just went down and died. It was quite hot today, etc. Anyone have any idea on what to look at where to start. Thanks |

Check your iac (idle air control) motor. When mine went bad it did the same thing as what you described.

OK wnet through fuel, ecm, etc, ect.
decided that it must be mechanical! pulled of timing cover. Turn it over and the cams don't move. So the crank spins, however the cam pulley is not turning. How is this in there. Is there a key way etc. Just want to know before I get into it. I assume that the key way/pin was shearing and that was causing the spuratic idle that I could not solve due to timing. And it finally let go on Friday. Hmmmm Sound logical? |

Idk abt the key way/ pin would shear agaist the timing belt. Pull the cover and check your marks and see how far you are off in timing. Just hope you didn't do ant damage to your head.
