95 Eclipse GSX jerking

I just bought this 95 gsx last week. When I accelerate from a stop or steady 10 to 20 mph as the car starts to pick up speed it seems like the trans is slipping until I get up to speed then it is ok. If I am driving say at 30 to 40 mph then punch it, this problem does not happen. Any ideas.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! nice advice wildwest[8D]

don't know about that auto shift, most cars, if you leave them in park, you can't take out the keys, so if you can, it should be all the way in park and ready to go. check your fuses.

thats what we did at the dealership... plus you can get an extra start or two out of the car that way. i have a little hammer stashed back by the spare tire just for that purpose.

well if its not startin it may be the starter or it could be the battery
but if its jerking when driving you may have low transmission fluid or the transmission may need rebuilt
had a 92 corsica that had a jerking and stalling problem
i reset the computer by disconnecting the battery for about an hour then reconnected it and let it sit with the keys on to run but did not start the car
after that topped off the tranny fluid never had the problem again
