asx 1.8 D gearbox grabbing in 1st gear
 

Hi All
I have an ASX which has run like a dream for 7 years it is a UK model on a 60 registration plate. The last four times i have used it the gear change to first or out of first has been stiff just a few times. It seems to lock in place, so i do not force it i dip the clutch again and it then operates as normal. Also when in neutral on the odd occassion it feels stiff when shifting from side to side before you select the gear. I took it to a local garage who clearly didn't have a clue but the fault was not replicated at the time.
For example on my last journey of about 60 miles it occured 3 times and I dipped the clutch again and it worked fine.
Can anyone please advise on what the issue may be and how it can be fixed.
