can i put a 6 bolt in my 93 gsx awd a/t
i am trying to put a 6 bolt in my 93 gsx awd . i have got plenty of info on what to do and everything is fine besides i cant figure out a good way to bolt the engine to my automatic transmission . the problem is the flex plates for a 6 bolt are way different and wont bolt to my torque converter . can anyone tell me what the right way to do this is. i have talked to a couple people and they said to redrill the 7 bolt flex plate to fit 6 bolt but that sounds to half ass . please let me know if anyone has any ideas. i have the tranny for the 6 bolt but its out of a sanata and its manual and only fwd so im pretty sure i cant make that work as much as i would.

I've heard both sides ut being that he's taken his engine out I'd say he knows what he has. It may SOUND half assed but it also may be the only way to do it. I don't think anyone makes the flex plate though you might want to try searching e-bay or just the net in general for someone that might custom make one for you.

a 93 7 bolt is built better than a 95 and up 7 bolt --something about the assembly that holds the main bearings in is beefier--just rebuild what you have
