Default RE: Catch Can

I recently installed a Greddy oil catch can on my Evo and am glad I did. Before I installed the catch can I would open up my intake and find oil where the intake connected to the turbo. Now it wasn't a huge amount of oil but over time this starts getting to the intercooler and I'm sure is worth a loss of a few horsepower. If you install an oil catch can there are two places two install one....remember that.

I actually capped off my air intake pipe. The outlet port on my catch can is just vented to air with a breather filter. This obviously violates emissions, but anyone running a testpipe is already doing that anyways. Why recycle HOT air into your intake. The car responds very well to this!! I was going to do the same with the PCV/intake manifold side (ie.. cap off the intake manifold and vent the PCV to air with a breather filter). I am just wondering if this will cause any problems with the car. I wouldn't think so, I just want to hear from someone who has done this or has some experience.
