Hello all, Radio help, AGAIN!....

Hello guyz and dollz, I am new to the site not to DSM's...I have had a 1997 Mits Daimante for several years and just gotten around to the timing belt/water pump tiny little MAJOR job for an old man that no longer likes to work on anything, aack....and now cant get the radio to take the codes.....I have them on the little card and have used them in the past, the radio says code, I gave it the code....then what?.....nothing...punched all the buttons.....nothing.....what now?.......I dont have a manual so I am not sure of the proper sequence of how to make it work right...I have stumbled through it in the past and managed to make it work but now it has stumped me, any ideas?.......I had the negative battery cable off....does this make a differance? Thanks for the great site, I spent a week trying to log into a dead site, aack......
Please throw the old man a bone.....
later,
Kevo

After entering the code- you have to hit one of the function buttons. Either the CD, TAPE, or AM/FM button. It will either accept of refuse the code. Do this with the radio on and the CODE on the display. Good Luck!

Thanks Joel, I spoke with my son who has a D just like mine (97 Silver) and he told me to hit the tape button, it was the only button I hadnt hit, aack....all is well in my world again and the D runs great after all the belts, water pump, rotor, plugs, wires and dist cap have now been replaced.....Now I can resume restoring old Honda motorcycles again, my truest passion, lol....
later,
Kevo...
