Lightbulb Honking horn magically fixes brights

So, on my 2002 Montero Sport, my brights have not worked at all for a few months now. I was out in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night, playing "dodge the deer" when I was forced to abruptly stop for two bambis. They would run up the road and then stop an wait for me to catch up. I finally gave up on the idea that they'd get out of the way on their own so I honked my horn at them. After blaring my horn a couple of time my brights are mysteriously working perfectly again. It's cool, but I am absolutely confused and curious about why this happened. Anyone have a clue?

You may have a faulty headlight switch. The honking of the horn may have moved whatever was interrupting the connection.

Also the wiring may need to be looked at.

sounds like a sh*tty ground connection. clean everything. then get your multimeter out and test everything. you'll find it sooner or later...
