How to change brakes on a 2011 Mitsubishi Lancer

Hello,

I created a ~5 min video tutorial on how to replace the front brakes on a Mitsubishi Lancer 2011 (and up, not the EVO):

This is for reference, hoping that it could help someone one day!

Do they have enough material to get them turned? Then all you need are pads, which are cheap and easy to source.

It is possible to get them turned, but you would have to find mechanic who has a lathe (less common than it used to be) or a machine shop, which, unlike car parts store (and online) are mostly only opened only during work hours. Another reason to buy new rotors would be if the old one were shaky.

Hey There...great video...I am having issues with my back breaks. My ebrake was rubbing so i took off the caliper and rotor and now i cant get it back on. I wish people would show more videos for rear brakes on the lancer. I think they are the hardest to do given the ebrakes that are inside the rotors. Let me know if you know of a good video. Thanks mate.

Very good video. How about the SHIMs. In your video seems that they comes already attached to the pads. But I bought on the Mitsubishi dealer original Mitsubishi box but no SHIM. I bought then separate they said it's the same as outlander but I don't know how to build them, mainly the external that are 2 one black and one silver. Which one attached first to pad. The black or the silver?
