How do you test a Mass Air Flow Sensor

RE: How do you test a Mass Air Flow Sensor
I was able to keep the car for the day and do some repairs (broken wing isn't broke anymore, lol)
Sorry, I was mistaken, the check engine light is on.
When I drove it, it doesn't want to run at idle, just like yellowtalon said. It stumbles and tries to die at times, but once you get moving then it runs fine. The car burns gas faster than a 67 olds I use to own with a 425 V8.
Checked at local salvage for MAF sensor. The two elcipse in the yard didn't have any, but my nephews car now has an armrest over the clutter tray in the console that he didn't have before.
Thanks for the info guys.
If anyone can point me toward a source for good used or discount new MAF for 96-97 2.4L Eclipse, it would be a great help. Local parts store quoted $220 for the maf which is undoable for him or me right now.
Also were to buy outside door handle, none of those in local salvage either. I've already checked ebay for both.

RE: How do you test a Mass Air Flow Sensor
have you thought about converting to a GM maf? It's much better flow and really easy to do with a little reading and double checking. They are much easier to come by than the talon one's. Also try caling Team Auto Parts in Winnipeg-They have alot of Talon parts and are my main supplier. If you google them i'm sure they have a toll free number, and they are very reliable. Talk to Ron there and say Ryan from Winnipeg sent you-he'll give you a deal.
