low fuel light

Hi,
I have a 95 gst. Today the low fuel light came on but the gage said it still had a little under a half tank left. So I put $5 in and it still hasn't gone off. Does anyone know what might be wrong. Possibly a sensor somewhere or a glitch in the computer?

Thanks,
Justin

i've got the same prob... i just go by how many miles i've driven on that tank... i'd say its just a bad sensor though

I went and talked to my mechanic today. He said it was a bad sensor in the fuel tank sending system. He said no big deal if the gage is still working. I also though about what you do and just go by how many miles i've driven
