Manual tranny problem
 

Hi all,

I need help, i drive a mitsu carisma 1998 1.8 glx. I can get it into reverse every now and again but most of the time the reverse light comes on but then slips straight into first. And i can only get it into reverse if i really force it. i admit i know nothing about cars. people i have spoken to said it might be the selector switch, or the clutch i can't see it being the clutch as every other gear is fine. Please help as it is annoying me.
