Hello all,

I have a 97 eclipse RS auto. nothing special compared to what im reading here. it has 86k miles and i maintain it well for the past 2 years that ive had it. full tune-up was done 10000 miles ago, air filter, gas filter, spark plugs etc.

the car has no power though at least at the beginning. for example i will step on the gas and it doesnt take off, it seems to take off after 3500 rpm. even on the highway i will step on it it will rev but it doesnt take off immediately. I dont know much about cars and im not sure if im describing this well. any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Therewould be something wrong with the gearbox eitherhardly no transmission fluid or the gearbox is just about to sh!t itself. Just an idea on what it could be.

Yep, the transmission is the likely source. Get a transmission flush and see if the problem occurs.

Yep a mechanic should know what you mean if you said that really all you have to do is say what the problem is and they should know what it could be and fix it.
