Oil on dipstick means no oil?

Hi all Mitsubish outlander is the vehicle and assuming the vehicle is on level ground and had just been driven for ten miles so it would be warm could you definitely say that if oil isn't visible on the dipstick that there is no oil in the engine compartment?

incorrect.
'just been driven' means that the oil will be all through the engine, where it works.
Leave it sitting for 10-15 mins for it to run back into the sump.

OP, beware of morons.

I agree with Akzle, as u drive the oil is sucked up throughout the motor and will take a while to drip back down into the oil pan. I could be just very low.
