passenger window not working ?!?! please help !!
 

Can anyone help me, my passenger window doesnt go up or down at all. Ive tried different switches & the window motor works fine because Ive touched the wires to a 12v battery & it goes up & down great. I think theres maybe a problem else where but I dont have a clue were to look

Have you tried changing the wires yet? Sounds like there's a possible short or a break might only happen when the switch is installed because the switch pushes the wire into the exact position to cause the problem. Also check the ires from the fuse block to the switch. You said the motor works when you hook it directly up to a batter BUT do you get 12 volts from the wires going to the switch? Have you checked the fuse for that matter? Might be as simple as a blown fuse...

make sure that the window is on track and installed properly also. I don't really see how it could be a fuse if he's getting power to the motor.

Ive checked the fuses they seem to be fine. Ive checked the driver side & the passenger
side switches neither of them make the window work. The window is on track, like I had said I had hooked up a 12v battery to the motor to make sure it worked fine & the the window runs up & down perfectly. If you have ANY suggestions please let me know! But Imgoing to try & see if maybe theres a broken wire or something. but before that Im going to hook up my voltage tester to make sure Im getting 12v

If the driver side switch is bad, the window will not work at all. Not sure why its wired like that, but most of the time they are.

Thanks for the ideas & info, Im gonna do some work on it this weekend & see what I come up with. Im gonna try all the suggestions everybody has gave me so far. Im gonna start fallowing wires & look for breaks or bad connections. I gotta few driver & passenger switches that Ill try out too
hopefully something will come up
If ANY other ideas come up please let me know !!!
