I have a 97 Eclipse RS which an odd problem. The steering wheel is hard to turn so I am pretty sure the P/S Pump is blown however when I turn on the AC (which only engages the compressor for a few seconds before the snowflake light starts blinking) it seems like the P/S kicks on for a second then dies off. Like I said I am pretty sure the pump is blown but has anyone had this issue before?

 

yes i am having the same issue right now, and it is the ac compressor, i have 1997 gs any idea instead of replacing the compressor can u just take it off??
