Problem with starting '08 Lancer ES / Possibile immobilizer issue

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I was not sure where to post this. I have a 2008 Lancer ES. Here is my issue. Over the weekend, some things happened and, well, the actual keyless entry piece that goes in the key came out and was lost. This is not the FAST key system. It is the actual metal key with the keyless entry. Well, it seems the car will not start now without that piece. I can get in and out of the car just fine and turn any of the features inside on, but it won't start. I have a feeling it is simply the anti-theft kicking in, which is a great feature, but not when you only have one of the "smart" keys.

So, TL;DR, the keyless entry device was lost and now my car won't start.

Is there any way to disable the immobilizer or something so that I can at least get it started? Or do I have to get a tow and take it to the dealership to fix?

Thanks!

Also, are dealerships the only place to get the new keys made or do some other shops handle this as well?
