transmision warning sign

Hi! Everybody.
I have an Outlander sport 2011. Today while driving the “transmission maintenance required” came up. I have 52,000 miles on the car. Do I have to take it to the mechanic?
:(

no. Not at all.
Mitsi put all kinds of silly lights around the place. Good drivers like you should just ignore them,
if you want, grab a punch and smash the lights out as they come on so you never have to look at them again.

The problem of course is if you drive more miles than you wait months, you end up like you are at now with hardly any miles, and a million months left and the system locks out the reset. The only ways to correct this are to either wait out the months (which has its own set of problems), or do a manual reset with a scan tool.
