Turn Signals/Hazards not working
 

I have a 2001 Mitsubishi Galant and my turn signals and hazard lights stopped working. The interior indicators also do not come on. I don't know much about where to look to diagnose the problem, but I have been able to check the fuses and they all appear to be fine. I've been told to look for a relay or flasher piece that should be near the ECU, but I don't know what I'm looking for. (eHow said it was silver, but I didn't see anything silver).

If someone could tell me (in very simple terms - lol) what to look for and how to check it, that would be lovely.
