I have a few questions hoping you guys can answer?

There is a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse 210k Miles for $3000.
I can probably get it lowered a bit, but I was wondering what would be the lifespan on this engine.

I currently don't have any info if it was taken care of but let's just say it was taken care of and it was in good hands. How much longer could the car run for?

Also, are there any main problems with this car that I should know about ahead of time? Thanks once again!

 

If maintenance was kept up it could last along time. The higher mileage maintenance items (transmission and timing) wee expensive and often delayed/skipped. If they were best to avoid is not it could last a long time. Is it the v6 or the 4? The 6 is very strong but the needs proper maintenance to prevent problems over 140k. I do not know much about the 4 other than it was comparitively easy to turbo. My v6 ran perfectly smoothly with no issues at all but I did follow the severe schedule and sold it after 112k. Try checking club3g/eclipseforum for more specifics.

 

I have about 210,000 on my 2003 eclipse, however I purchased it when it only had 30K. Ive done all the maintenance myself, timing belt, oil change ect. on time so its still worthy of a cross country trip or 10, everything has been replaced at one point, alternator, radiator, starter... talk him down to 2500 you can get it for that or less!!

 

is it true can we purchase it even less for that price? where and how?
