Hi Everyone
I really need so help with my diesel ASX 2014/15.
since May2022 I’ve start have problems with my ASX every 3 months..
My car starts juddeering at 70mph for 30seconds then disappears. Over the next two weeks a small amount of fuel gets put into my oil sump.
I’ve tried a couple of times to do a forced regeneration but never know if it’s happened. I’ve told by a MIT dealership 30mins 3500 revs not worked as far as I’m aware. RAC rescue 30mins at 2500-300rpms of which I haven’t tried.
How do you know if regeneration has happened?
Also is the problem? I have read it could be split air pipe but both mechanics haven’t found anything. I drive mainly 10-12 miles to work at low speed.

ASX regen will not take place unless driving, due to minimal cooling around the DPF.

In the Vehicle data for the engine ECU it records your average speeds during regeneration. This needs to be 40kmh minimum. It could be that you are not driving fast enough or long enough during your trips.

A competant MM technician should know this, and the other things to look for in the data. A great amount of info is in the data streams, and can confirm a diagnosis with out physically looking in some cases.
