Default CV JOINTS

Would bad CV Joints cause vibration in steering wheel. I am begginning to hear a squeak when I turn my steering wheel left. I check power steering fluid it was okay.

What cost should I be looking at if I have to replace CV Joints don't want to get taken advantage of. I have a 98 galant

I have never heard a c-v joint causing a vibration. When the boots rip they leak all the grease out and click when your making a turn.

You can buy axles for like $45.00 each and if you do it yourself labor is free. A shop might charge close to $200.00 for everything for one side.

If it's squeaking with you turn, and you power steering is up to par, then check your belt and the tensioner. At worst it's your pump. It's definitly not your C.V joints.

For the squeak you might have something tight in the suspension/steering area. I have see a lot of outer tie rods get tight andsqueak when u turn the steering wheel. Just an idea.
