Hole in brake cylinder?

Hello fellow Mitsu lovers!
I’m new to this forum and new to English, so sorry for grammer!

I’m from Latvia, driving Colt 2000 and my mother has Lancer 2009.
I just wanted to share a story that happened to my mother's Lancer one day and hear your thoughts.

So she was driving to work when suddenly, while braking, she noticed that brake pedal goes down to floor and brakes are not working anymore.
The cause of this was a little hole in rear brake cylinder, see pic below

What do you think about this? Is this normal?
I have no clue if this is an original part or not, but anyways, although I’m very incompetent in car stuff, but still I never heard of something like that. Could it possibly be some rare factory waster? (if it’s still was an original part..)

Soon is planning Lancers maintenance in Mitsubihsi Center, should I mention this accident?
How could I know if this was an original part or not? (car was bought used)

And do you recognize those part manufacturers?
These are the new parts that got replaced after accident.

Are those parts reliable?

Thanks for any comments,
Have a nice day!
