maf sensor

does the evo IX monitor engine load through a maf sensor, map (manifold absolute pressure), or both ?

RE: maf sensor

the MAF sensor monitors the amount of air that will be entering the intake manifold.

The MAP sensor is what measures the engine load. All it basically reads is the intake manifold pressure.

So does a evo IX have a maf sensor like the evo VIII?

it comes with a MAF adapter plate to you can bolt it in. they didnt mention it on the site prob because it is just somthing that is assumed to be common. it is prob pictured though.

Only time it doesnt have one is if it says its forspeed density
