Hey I'm new to the group but have owned my fair share of Mitsubishis recently my 06 gs eclipse launched a timing belt which in turn bent the valves I have a motor for the car but I also know that I can only use 06,07,08 engines on this car cause I have done the trans before my question is does anybody know how to identify what year the car was just by the engine serial number if you do thanks in advance for the help and knowledge

 

I can replace heads or motor to fix this thing. what I need to know is what engines or heads can I use if I can't find the exact year? Will any 3.8 liter Mitsubishi engine/heads work ? Will the sensors be the same? I have found a variety if engines like a 2004 endeavor but it isn't listed as a 6G75. From what I understand form the motor codes post, that is the only 3.8 liter engine. Yes?
