New Outlander Sport oil change.

Here is a question for anyone that bought a new car or used one. You take it in for its first oil change. Instead of putting the same oil that came in it they put a heavier regular type oil not the synthetic oil the owners manual called for. Oh I guess I ought to say the manufacturer offered the first oil change FREE from where you bought it from. The coupon did not say what they would use and they didn't ask me what I wanted either. Please pass this around I would like to find out from the most people I can. Thanks Guy

Update: Mitsubishi has passed this matter back to the dealer. I'm suppose to hear from the service manager today(Friday). He told them that he hasn't heard anything about this and they did it on Monday. I told the service rep on Tuesday he said he was going to tell the manager to see what to do about it. He was going to see if he would let me pay for the oil and filter to change it again. Thats not right they ought to change it to what the owners manual calls for. And hear is the kicker the Mitsubishi Rep said this could void my warranties on the motor. I haven't drove it since I found out about the mess up on Tuesday. Since its got towing service I,m thinking about having it tow back to them.

You certainly know how to keep a reader entertained. I really enjoyed what you had to say.

Can I have an update on how you resolved this problem?

A lot of people just sign up to bitch and then never post again. If the OP has not updated since last November, he's probably long gone.

What time wasting then. Thanks
