Is it normal to hear a relay click at the back every time you press the brake pedal?
Hi, I just purchased a used Mitsubishi Outlander 2012 ES with leather seats and 4WD. I never sat in one before.
Is it normal to hear a relay click at the back of the vehicle every single time I press on the brake pedal? This has to be the most annoying thing I've ever dealt with in any vehicle I've driven over the last 20 years. I owned Acuras, Hondas, a Jeep, a Pontiac and a Dodge vehicle and I've never heard a relay click whenever I press the brake pedal before. I am wondering if this is normal or a defect or maybe related to something the previous owner added to the vehicle (he added a hitch). Lights perfectly lit up when I press the brake pedal, btw. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the vehicle. Thanks |
I have a bmw that has done that for five years. It started right after I had a shop replace my front calipers.
i. Never took it back, we don’t drive the car a lot. It’s not going to hurt anything, just drive you nuts, I agree. Dave |
