"I have a 2000 Mitsubishi MOntero Sport that has recently started to leak oil and a lot of smok come out from engine and i smell burning oil .I took it to Meineke and it will cost me $500 to fix it .They will replace my gaskets, valve covers . should i start the process and pay this money?

If you want the oil leaking to stop and you can't do it yourself, then yes.

500$ is a fkn bargain compared to what we'd pay here.

Set of valve cover gaskets... $7.43 from Rock Auto. So are you are willing to spend $492.57 for just the labor to install? Thats a little steep imo. You are about to get ripped a new one.
