Hello. I own a Mitsubishi Lancer EL 1996. We call it "itlog" here in Philippines because of its EGG shape Tail Light. I don't know the equivalent model here in your forum. It had 4G13A SOHC engine and using Variable Venturi Carburator and Distributor with built-in Ignition coil.

I'm now rebuilding my 4G13 engine. I already have it re-sleeve or Liner and rebore to standard bore of 71mm. My problem now was I want to know how to clean the internal parts and small oil holes passages to remove clogged dirty oil. I don't want my new oil to be contaminated by old and dirty which have abrasive materials.

I want also to clean the Oil Pump without opening it. Can I use kerosene and air pressure to clean it.

Hope you can give advise. Thanks.

Hi There, My problem that I'm facing this morning is the 4WD indicator light (green) is blinking. I did not shift the lever. It is on 2H setting since I used it.
On 4WD lever it shows 4L, 4H and 2H. In normal drive or in expressway the settings is 2H. My car is Nativa 2008 model, gray color....thanks!

Default Montero, how to fix heater core??

Alright I've got a 1990 montero, has no heat. I've checked everything and it's got to be the heater core.

How in the world do I get to it? Anybody know? I've checked everywhere online and only seen one picture showing it behind the firewall and dashboard and all. How in the world?
Anybody have any advice?

Thanks!!

Have you tried https://www.mitsubishilinks.com for you manual, It may be of help.
You will have to take the dash apart to get to it.
You say you have NO heat, Well the core is just a radiator. Have you checked your fan fuse, Thermostat before digging in to such a big job.
