Default 00 Galant timing belt broke Q&A before I begin

Ok so I was accelerating from a stop light and before I could get up to speed my timing belt broke so I pull over. I've done some research and learned that since I have an interference motor I most likely bent some rods and possibly damaged my pistons or cam. Before I do anything with the timing belt I was going to pull the head and look at what I can see.

My first question is, how likely is it that I did damage to the cam or pistons? And how do I know? Will it be obvious?

My second question is, at this point should I just rebuild the motor? It has 192,XXX on it. Ive never done that so what do you recommend for a rebuild kit? What should a good kit contain?

Also any advice tips or tricks from any of your experiences would be greatly appreciated and applied.
Thanks in advance I appreciate your time and help.
