I would like to know what cold air intake to put in to my 1998 3000gt I have just purchasedthisvehicle, I would also like to know what type of exhaust you would suggest. Im not looking foranything thats"really expensive," As long as it is a reasonable pricefor what i get,im ok with it. Not trying to sound cheap, just looking for vaule along with performance!

RE: 98 3000gt intake

When it comes to intakes an exhaust, just about anything will give you the same result performance wise. For the intake i recomend Injen for quality.. but any ebay peice of junk will do. For the exhaust, ebay will NOT do. Try www.dynamicracing,com for that.

You do realise that you are not going to get all that much of a gain right? Maybe 4hp total?

Easiest way to gain HP... Replace OEM air filter with free-flow type, and replace cat converter with a test pipe. You'll feel the difference.

RE: 98 3000gt intake

the intake get the injen is intake system its like 169.00 adds 12hp and 10 torque at the crank, at the wheels, maybe half of it. exhaust the best for this car would be borla, corvettes, and vipers have it, etc... but its like over 800.00 very good though 3sx.com and dynamicracing.com, check out ebay if u want but remember, its an auction. and yes the intake gives u a growling sound at higher rpm and anytime you floor it. injen all the way because k&n is just the filter, why pay almost the same when injen can give you the whole thing?
