aftermarket and stock mixed

i purchased injen short ram intake for my rideand i took my universal muffler to Meineke's and they welded for me.

my Q is that if it's alright to install injen intake even though i have stock pipe and not whole catback...just have the universal muffler welded...it won't damage, right?

It wont harm your car..... an intake is for more air flow into the intake manifold. Its ok to use an intake with stock exhaust. Thats how my clipse is

i can't buy anything that is over $200 or else i'll be broke hahaha!!

and most full cat back exhausts are like $300-$500 and i don't think there are full catback fo' 02 Mitsubishi Lancer ES.
