Buying a new Cat.
Im finally ready to buy a new Cat but I need alittle advice first. Is there a brand that works as efficiently as the stock one but at a better price? I found https://www.mitsubishiparts.com/oe_parts_catalog.html for the stock one and it beats paying a dealership with their mark-ups as usual. I was just hoping to spend less than $320...if not its all good, just as long as I get a new well working Cat. Damn smog tests [:'(]. Thanks.
Not sure what car you have, but here's a link for a cat that gives you more hp. If it is not a 3000GT, I'm sure that the manufacturer also has a website.http://www.3sx.com/store/comersus_vi...idProduct=1066

These are all under $100 and they are great quality. It may take a SMALL amount of work but its deffinatly worth it. And at the vary most, after buying a few clamps and maybe a little bit of pipe. It would MAYBE cost $150...maybe. Either way its less than half of what you were expecting

Thanks for the info...I checked out both sites, but they werent what I was looking for. I just ended up buying the OEM one. I looked at it as better safe than sorry. Anyone know what the recommended torque lbs. might be for the bolts? Thanks again.
Hey Wicked, does it work pretty much the same as the OEM one? All I need to make sure is that it lowers emissions and not increase performance. Because I can cancel my $351 OEM cat and buy the Magnaflow one for $200. If it works just as good ill save $150. Thanks.
