Which CAI for 08 eclipse gt?

Looking at the Injen sp1873 ??
How do you change or clean the filter that is hidden up inside the bumper/ wheelwell?
Not real keen on removing the bumper each time. That can't be right?
Short pipe looks easier but for the hot issue.
So many choices ,how about some expert help?
Thanks in advance guys

Injen is a great brand and you really can't go wrong w/ it. I'm not sure about hp gains on the 4g eclipses but a friend of mine put a CAI on his v6 mazda6 and got about 7 ponies out of it. i'm not sure what you mean about removing and/or cleaning the air filter thought... I've never seen an engine shot of how the 4g eclipses look but usually you just take the intake piipe off the intake manifold and take everything from there on down and take it off... then hook up ur new CAI and wala, good to go.

Well thanks for the info.
I can't do as you suggest because the pipe will be bolted at the filter end which sits inside the fender as well as on a motor mount near the carb.
I think i'll try the short config. to start with.
Injen claims 16+ hp gain but this is not my main interest.
Fujita claim a 20 or so gain on theirs BTW.
I am more interested in the economy as well as the sweet sound.
Thanks again
P.S. I'm having the suspension lowered and a top coat put on this morning.
Must admit I'm getting abit antsy to see it.

lowering a vehicle can add some serious eye appeal to a car and get you some better traction!

I live in Boston so lowering the car is not an option because of snow and very very bumpy road from salt and heavy rain and snow

I wish I live in LA or Florida...

i live in good ole' SC where you can lower a car as much as you want as long as you can avoid speed bumps.
