exhaust pipe gap?????

ok so ive got an entireee exhaust including a hi flow cat but there is about a 2.5" - 3" gap between the back of the cat and the catback system, idk wtf is up with that butttt just wondering if thats normal or somewhere along the line i was sent the wrong sized piece??? i think its the downpipe to the header where i lost the inches but not sure, i think im just gonna make a spacer for it, what do you guys suggest, buy new header or make spacer?? thanks for all help

Did you compere it to the stock exhaust? If so then you should know what part needs to be longer to cover the gap.

^^thats the best advice. Try and compare the stock to what you bought. There should never be a gap like that. So either
1. They sent you the wrong peice
2. You ordered the wrong peice
3. You bought some ebay crap and you get what you pay for

Either that or just add a section into the exhaust.

Welllllllllllllllll kinda scrapped the stocker stuff already [:o]cause it was chopped to pieces cause it was rusted together like no other and so i just threw it away, garbage already came and got it yesterday. But i think im right in that it's the header being too short, not sure 100% butttttt ya going to make a filler piece and just call it a day. Andwell ill admit it engineer it would be number 3 [:o].But when you're kinda short on money and have to pay for school and books and gas and all that shiz it's just good to finally have a full exhaustfor the car and hopefully by friday start it and see what it sounds like :)
But deffinitely if it wasnt for not having an aid of any kind for college and so therefore paying cash and getting loans, from my dad that is[>:]I'd have gotten the greddy ti-c catback andsome kind ofhi flow cat and possibly just a megan header, idk with the header, wouldnt have mattered but it deffinitely would've all been name brand, ohh well, gotta deal with what ya got and this is what i got. Thanks for the input though guys, just wasnt sure what the deal was there although i had my thoughts.
