Default interior paint

hi, i have a 3g model and i want to take the dashboard out and paint it. does anyone have any tips on painting this kind of plastic? im not sure what kind of paint i would use or how to prep it. i would really like it to have a glossy finish, or maybe put some kind of clear coat on.

Default RE: interior paint

First off what parts are you gonna paint. Emonz and me painted parts of his dash. (heat vents, part around the guages, center speaker where cd display is, and the center console.) Ive heard that Duplicolor works good.

The preping is basically make sure you sand it down good so that the stuff you put on will stay and so that you can actually have a nice good smooth surface. Then use any type of primer spray paint. It really doesnt matter. I dont even remember what types we used. But put a couple coats of primer on there. They spray paint the color on that you want. Once again a couple good even coats. Then finally finish with a couple coats of clear coat. That will make it nice and glossy and smooth. Good luck!. Here are some pics for some inspirtion. Hope this helps.
