I have recently purchased an '01 eclipse Spyder. The stereo was out it, so I put it back in, got the code and entered it. The stereo comes on and all, but I have no sound coming from the speakers. After further investigation, I've found that the speakers are hooked up. But I have wires under my passenger seat that have been cut, and I can't find where they're suppose to run to. I just found out that there is a OEM amplifier that should be u see the seat, but obviously it's not there. My question is: Do I need that amp to get sound or no? And if I do need an amp, can I install an aftermarket amp in place of the OEM instead?
