Outlander Very Sensitive Alarm

I have a 2008 Outlander. Super ride but my only problems is that the alarm is extremely sensitive. It goes off when vehicles drive past or when people walk past.

Is there a way to reduce the sensitivity of the alarm???

where do you park your car out in a busy street?

The car alarm only activates if there is LOUD MUFFLER passing your car especially the Harley Davidson or Choppers with loud Mufflers. Cars with loud muffler can trigger the Alarm too but Make sure the car alarm is not malfuntion or factory defect.

Try touching your car, by touching it will trigger your car alarm. My 08 Lancer has an alarm but not sensitive like yours I bet they are the same car alarm system.

Did you install something on your car that required to touch the electrical system or FAST KEY system? it might be the remote fast key that is making it to alarm.
