remote amp line fried? audio savvy ideas?
 

Okay, so hookin up an amp I got 2nd hand from my sister turned out to be my first mistake. Ive wired up sound systems several times, never had a problem. Hookin up my sisters old amp in my dsm I got a smoke show in my trunk.. the entirety of the circuitboard was covered in corroded ****.

I tried a couple other amps since that one, a sony and two MTXs. None of them have had any reaction. I figured ground wire, but my capacitor was gettin power. Could the amp cooking the first time have fried the circuit in the head unit that controls the remote amp switch? If the head unit isnt signaling the amp via the rem amp wire, maybe its just not telling the amps to turn on? Or were all the amps bad in the first place? Neither of which would surprise me, I just wanna know whats going on.
