TCL not working Diamante VR-X 2001
 

I have a Diamante where the TCL off light is almost always on, it never works although it used to sometimes and whenever the TLC off light is on the engine light will come on. Although I don't care too much about TCL it would be nice if I could get rid of the engine light as the car supposedly uses 20L per 100k which is almost double what it should be and I assume the car being in limp mode is not helping. I will mention the car performs on par with what it should be out of the factory (7-8 sec 0-100, 33sec 0-200) so it doesn't seem to affect performance at all I assume it has to do with some dodgy wiring but I have no idea where the TCL wires and sensors would even be as I have very limited electrical experience, supposedly it used the abs system for some functions and my abs works perfectly fine as far as im aware. I'm also worried that without these it wont pass its wof which in NZ is a yearly vehicle inspection that checks safety features and i assume TCL not working would mean a fail meaning it cant be driven till its fixed. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it :)
