RE: Cheap racing seats

just for anybody else who is interested in racing seats but not able to shell out an arm, leg and half a grand for one, I found this site: http://www.andysautosport.com/mitsub.../racing_seats/

They sell quite a few brands, and some of them are pretty cheap (200-400 per seat), but they also have expensive seats like Bride, Recaro and Sparco. Anyway, I figure that as long as the seat is made by a real company, they have to be made with at least some safety standards in mind if not all.

I got a couple generic ebay ones from a friend just to have for extra chairs in my room. The quality is quite nice and they are very comfy. Only downfall is that they are just as heavy if not heavier than stock seats. If you can find rails for these seats i'd say go for it
