Help

When I'm driving my car as soon as it hits 75/80mph it begins to shake. Is that normal for a 02 Lancer? Also my car has been making a strange screetching sound when it is stopping {car still on}

RE: Help

The shaking could be from your wheels being out of balance. Does, just, the steering wheel shake or the entire car (including the steering wheel).
That screeching is probably your brakes. The brake pads have an "indicator" built into them that make a screeching noise when the pads are worn out. If it starts grinding, you've driven the pads all the way down. It is best and recommended to replace the pads (front usually need to be changed most often).

So, you'll need an alignment and brake pad change.

RE: Help

Try getting the tires balanced and silvercoupe pretty much covered everything else like usual.

it's not the break pads those are new. the car is stopped when the noise happens. the steering wheel is what shakes.

suspensions maybe? a strange sound coming from front side, right?
i still suspect to wheels and tires because the steering wheel is shakes.
