1994 into 1995

Hey everyone I recently got a great deal (I think haha) on a 1995 3000gt. It has 117000 miles on it the trouble is it was ran without oil and threw a rod. And ruined the block and crank shaft. I am a long time mechanic and have been to college for it. So I know the most common answer is to get a short block and throw it back together. I am very new with the mitsubishi and the 3.0 for that matter. What I would like to know is if a 1994 3.0 will work in the 1995 I have?

Surprised no one answered you here. The 6G72 block is the same for the 2nd gen engines (94-96). Many parts are also the same. I have bunches of parts for them here in Tucson, AZ. Here's a link...
