Default 3000gt record!! questions!!

So, i've been curious of how come 3sx etc.. uses the 1st generation gt(91'-93) and not the 2nd or 3rd generation. why is that? from what i can see on the specs, the 1st generation is slower by 20hp. How come it is not the 2nd and 3rd generation that holds the record? or is it true that the 1st generation model is faster? Can anyone answer this for me? more questions will be ask later on.

The engines are all the same. The only difference between the 1st and 2nd generations is the increase in boost from 9 PSI to 11 PSI. That same engine with no mods can run at 15 to 18 PSI. Mine is at 15. Beyond that, the addition of larger turbos, injectors, fuel regulator, etc. can boost the HP beyond 900hp. I know a lot of people in our club that have done extensive mods probably pushing 400+ HP.
